We were in Austin, Texas, when we learned about the devastation brought about by ONDOY to our kababayans in Luzon, particularly in some areas of Metro Manila.
OUR BATCH CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The time to make the first move to help is NOW.
I learned from our experience during the 'deluge'in Ormoc City, that flood victims are in dire and immediate need of salt, matches. candles, clothes, slippers and water - before anything else. Cooked food, like arroz caldo, champorado and sinaing are most welcome. The canned sardines given at NDCC centers are enough for ulam for a few days.
Rollie, with his Rotarian spirit and experience(not to mention his charisma) can take the lead.
On the other hand, our lifetime president, MIKE, will be the leader of those who are presently out of the country.
PLEASE DON'T HESITATE WITH YOUR SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS, AND YES-
YOUR DONATIONS TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE.

Yes Jo,I told Nelia that we will discuss this matter with Rollie. The information you sent in the email could help us decide where to course any assistance from JRI Batch '63 .
Now that there is a new typhoon coming, the more our contribution will be needed.
I hope we can start the fund raising soon.
Sorry Jo if it's only now that you heard from me regarding your suggestion para makatulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyomg Ondoy. We were in Orlando sa DisneyWorld for almost one week together with my daughter and my grandchildren and my son-in-law who just came from Iraq. Maganda yong suggestion mo and I think lahat ng narito sa abroad eh okey diyan. I agree with kumareng Nelia na kay Pareng Rollie na lang ibigay yong makokolekta at sila na ang bahala roon. I'm going to tell Pilar to e-mail all of our classmates here in abroad.
