When Are You Old?

'OLD' IS WHEN....
Your sweetie says, 'Let's go upstairs and make love,' and you answer, 'Pick one; I can't do both!'

'OLD' IS WHEN...
Your friends compliment you on your new alligator shoes and you're barefoot

'OLD' IS WHEN...
Going bra-less pulls all the wrinkles out of your face.

'OLD' IS WHEN....
You don't care where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along.

'OLD' IS WHEN...
You are cautioned to slow down by the doctor instead of by the police .

'OLD' IS WHEN...
'Getting a little action' means you don't need to take a laxative today.

'OLD' IS WHEN....
'Getting lucky' means you find your car in the parking lot..

'OLD' IS WHEN....
An 'all nighter' means not getting up to use the bathroom.

'OLD' IS WHEN....
You're not sure if these are facts or jokes.

Erly or Linda's Recovery

Thanks God after two weeks my wife was fully recovered and discharged from the hospital. Thank you also my beloved batchmates for the cute get well e-card and prayers that you have offered for her recovery. Those prayers helped her a lot for encountering the suffering that she had experienced while we were in the hospital.

Blogging on my comments

Comment # 1 - for Erly and Mike

hahaha! on that note - GET WELL SOON, ERLY! "

Comment #2 -- for SIR EDR and Cecile
"thanks so much for giving in to my request for a glimpse on two of your family's very happy occasions.
!
BEAUTIFUL FAMILY, BEAUTIFUL COUPLES, BEAUTIFUL OCCASIONS, BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES...

Life is truly beautiful, isn't it?

again, thanks for sharing, SIR EDR and Cecile, and for making us feel like family."

Have You Stopped Crying?

Humans are the only animals who shed tears of emotion. Babies cry because of hunger or any unpleasant feeling. Adults use crying as a way to release emotions. Have you cried lately? Let me share some readings on this topic :

. According to some studies there are physical or health benefits from crying? Weeping is one of the mechanisms that humans use to get rid of some toxins. Tears may be involved in removing waste products or toxic substances from the body. Perhaps that is why so many people say they feel better after crying.

Some people may think that crying is just a loss of control and a sign of weakness. But actually, crying is a form of stress release.

It is a shame that attitudes towards crying and tears prevent many people from crying, and it's a sad reflection on our unforgiving society that some people who might benefit from a good cry feel that they shouldn't do it ever - even in complete privacy. Unfortunately most of us - especially boys - are told as children that crying is bad or shameful or childish, which of course is utter nonsense. Arguably only the bravest cry unashamedly - the rest of us would rather suffer than appear weak, which is daft, but nevertheless real.

When you feel pressure, frustration, sorrow or anger - any negative emotions - you should take effective measures to release them.Crying is natural, healthy and curative.

Whatever, shedding a few tears can be a very good thing now and then, and if you've yet to discover its benefits then give it a try. You might be surprised.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for Linda, wife of our President Mike. She will be under procedure this Morning, U.S. time, for the removal of stone. Please also pray for Mike that he will already find a job as he really needs to work to reach credit to be granted SSS benefits. As we all know, he lost his job and his employment benefit will already expire in April. Please include Linda and Mike and his family in our daily prayers. May God bless Mike and his family the best that God wants them to be.

We Have Arrived

I would like to inform you that Cecile and I have arrived Toronto Monday night of March 1st. We are off the jet lag now but still readjusting our bodies to the cold after being acclimatized with the hot summer weather in Manila.

We are very glad having spent our 2 1/2 months leave in the Phil. for it gave us ample time to settle some unfinished tasks we left behind when we immigrated in Dec 2003.

Our PMA Alumni Homecoming up in Baguio in Feb provided me precious moments with my Mistahs, reliving our cadet days and our stint in the military as officers during which almost all attained the star ranks. The anecdotes were just rib-tickling and our more serious achievements not only in the military but in government and civilian sectors were sources of pride and glory for our PMA Magiting Class of 1970. The Cadet Corps parade in honor of all the alumni was so memorable for all of us.

More than anything, our JRI HS Reunion of the Decade was awesome and so unforgettable! I brought with me fond memories I will cherish in my lifetime. The fun and laughters were just too much to bear! You have all inspired me to live life to the fullest, to be grateful for what I have and what I have become. You were all a great part of me!

Back here in the land of ice and snow, I am faced with so much things to do --- livelihood, family, and the community we have started in Greater Toronto area. My eldest son who got married in Manila during our trip there is back here with his bride, hopefully working on our next assignment --- "apo"stolic work!

Anyway below are some pictures I took during our seemingly never-ending reunion. If you want to view more, please click on my multiply site ( http://www.eldrpma70.multiply.com)

Enjoy! I hope I captured the glamor, the beauty, the splendor, the frivolity, the elegance, and the distinction that is JRI Batch of 1963!

ABANGAN!

ALL IS WELL, C

You did it again, Cora! Great job. Friends, If you can read this without any interruption or break away, our blog site was fixed by our hard chargin', relentless, and tireless chief blogger from Brisbane. I would suspect she spent long hours of editing and double checking each and every article or feeds that created the minor hiccup of this site. When she wrote it was all working back to normal, as of 0100 hours (her local time)you do the math and figure out how much time she spent to fix the problem. Please accept our appreciation for a job well done.
