Twelve Days of Christmas

The Twelve Days of Christmas” celebrates the official Christmas season which starts liturgically on Christmas Day and ends twelve days later on the Feast of the Epiphany.

“My true love” refers to God, “me” is the individual Catholic.
The “twelve lords a leaping” are the twelve basic beliefs of the Catholic Church as outlined in the Apostles Creed.
The “eleven pipers piping” are the eleven Apostles who remained faithful after the treachery of Judas.
The “ten ladies dancing” are the Ten Commandments.
The “nine drummers drumming” are the nine choirs of angels which in those days of class distinction were thought important.
The “eight maids a milking” are the Eight Beatitudes.  The “seven swans a swimming” are the Seven Sacraments.
The “six geese a laying” are the Six Commandments of the Church or the six days of creation.
The “five golden rings” are the first five books of the Old Testament called the Torah which are generally considered the most sacred and important of all the Old Testament.
The “four calling birds” are the Four Gospels.
The “three French hens” are the Three Persons in God or the three gifts of the Wise Men.
The “two turtle doves” represent the two natures in Jesus: human and divine or the two Testaments, Old and New.
The “partridge” is the piece de resistance, Jesus himself, and the “pear tree” is the Cross.

Those who have suffered the loss of a much-loved one, this song is for you, and for us all who will always ache with our shared grief.

Lunch Date with Batchmates

Eleven of us were present during the lunch tendered for Luna. We were informed that she was home two days before her departure. As usual the little time with her was spent to the max. We had our lunch at Lingling's Garden Restaurant in Pilar and spent the rest of the day at Julita Lonzon Malixi's residence in Abucay up to 6:00 pm . We had a great time exchanging stories, jokes and sharings of our family activities and as retirees.  We missed the others who have previous commitments. It is really fun meeting batchmates .

Deepest Symphaty to Lucing Mendoza Sabino

We are truly saddened to hear of your recent loss and would like to express our sincere condolences to you and your family on the recent passing of your mother .Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May she rest in peace .

A million thanks to all for the 50th Batch Anniversary Celebration....

This bread and butter letter is quite late, but as the old adage says, "Better late than never."

I wish to thank each one of you for the awesome Golden Reunion that we had last May!

I salute all of you for the superb planning, the holy mass, food, picnic, party, t-shirt and sun visor, the
umbrella (from Tonying), the almusal at the Magpoc's farm, and the outreach at Araro(San Vicente) barangay hall.

Special thanks for the lovely  pearl bracelet that you gifted us with!  (pwede namang wala na) but
I would like you to know that I appreciate your (Orion based classmates)  kind gesture.

How I wish I could have stayed longer!  Sayang ang mga bingo, pasyal, kuwentuhan, asaran, at walang katapusang kainan.  I missed all of them (as usual).

May we all be gifted with good health and long life, so we can be together in more reunions in the years to come.

To Nelia and Edita thank you for the Mass Card and for Eddie and Annie who had a long drive from New Jersey early in the morning and be there with us for my mom's last goodbye, thank you.  To all of you, from our grateful heart, THANK YOU SO MUCH.  I love you all.  Regards and take care.  God Bless.

Thank you, Thank you and Thank You

First I would like to thank God for our successful golden reunion with the hard work of our batchmates there in Orion.  Your hard work is very much appreciated.  The weather was really warm but your warm welcome to international group and Manila group is so great.  Thank you boy and Luz for posting our memorable photos.  This event cannot be forgotten.  Thank you for all members of the committee and for Emma and Fred for sharing their beautiful place for various batch activities. Thank you everyone.  I am really happy that I belong to Batch63 which I consider my second family.  I see closeness of everyone.  For you batchmates, I really enjoyed being with you even only for two days.  Labis akong natuwa sa dalawang araw na iyon na tayo ay nagkasamasama.  Nakakalungkot nga lang at hindi nakauwi sina Cora, Luna, Fely, Ernie del Rosario, Frank at Anselmo for a very valid reason.  Sana sa susunod nating reunion makarating na sila including, Manny Baluyot a/k/a Manny Rivera, Ernie Santos, Butoy, Rolando Dalisay, Lourdes Garcia, Lolita Zulueta, Sally Villazor, Estrella Baluyot and the rest of those in abroad and especially of those in the Philippines who were not able to attend this golden anniversary.  Sayang at hindi nila naramdaman ang ating kaligayan this recent golden reunion.  Again for you all of you there batchmates in Orion, thank you, thank you, thank you and for you there in Manila hope to see you again in our next reunion, and for Nelia, Edita, Annie, Mike, Fely, Josie, Luna let us continue communicating electronically by phone and FB.  Orly of Manila group kanta ka ulit ng Paul Anka next time.  Hindi ko alam na magaling ka palang kumanta.  Sayang hindi napakinggan ng mga hindi umatend.  I really miss ang masayang kuwentuhan, kantahan, sayawan, at higit sa lahat masarap na kainan.  Let us pray to our Lord God to continue to grant us the grace of good health of mind and body so we will see again, as much as possible yearly. THANK YOU LORD AND THANK YOU BATCHMATES63.

Goodbye! For now.............

T o my dear classmates,

I'm leaving for the US on June 6th.I don't know if I will have a chance to see you before I leave. But before I go I would like to thank each and everyone who made this very memorable Golden Reunion a very successful event, something that we will cherish and remember for the rest of our lives.I can never express in mere words the happiness that I have experienced during those few days that we were together. Those feelings will linger for a long long time. One thing for sure when I get back to the US I will experience a great feeling of emptiness,as Fred was saying,we will be looking up for a while reminiscing about the good times we spent together.I already know what to do,that's the reason why I always have my camera and my video.I wish we could do this every year for as long as we live.Doing this make us feel we were still in high school,we feel so carefree and so young even though we can already feel the aches and pains in our body.

For our classmates who were not able to make it this time because of very important reasons,I wish they could come next time.I know that even though you were not here physically, your hearts were with us during this Golden Reunion.I hope the pictures that Luz posted in our blog will give you an idea how it was.Luz thank you for being so patient in sharing those pictures with us.Emma and Fred, thank you so much for letting us use Araro as a venue, you have a very beautiful place.Thank you for all the gifts and all the love that everybody has given us balikbayans, those will never be forgotten.A big thanks also for those who have  given us rides, otherwise we will be riding tricycles to get around.I am so overwhelmed by the way we were welcomed by everybody.

So long my friends, till we met againTake good care of yourselves so we can see each other again.God bless us all.

I love you all.
