Pilar and Annie went to Washington

On a Sunday morning for a short trip from Larp’s home, in Middle River, Maryland to the National Shrine of Immaculate Concepcion in DC. With Pilar’s grandson, Listen Joseph in tow, we (barely) made it to the 10:30 AM mass. After a short tour of the huge basilica, off we went to Chinatown, for a quick lunch of pancit and siopao. And then it was followed by a “windshield tour” of the national mall, from the state capitol through the Washington monument, a quick glimpse of the southern lawn of the White House, to Lincoln memorial and the World War II memorial on our way out. The whole trip lasted but a few hours, but it was nice, a time well spent with a classmate and a friend. We’ve had a great time! And thanks for keeping us on a Saturday night in your warm and cozy place, Pilar!

Nasaan ba and bilihan ng siopao? Masarap yata kung may mami na kasama ng siopao, di ba? Yum, yum, gutom na kami!

Smile naman tayo maski hindi pa nabusog sa Chinatown! Where's the nearest MacDonald?

Larpi,
Balang araw makakapunta rin ako dyan. Ihanda mo sea foods malapit sa harbour.
